Grunge Text

This video tutorial will explain how to make grungey text with any font.

You'll need some grunge brushes for this, which you can download on Figmint under resources.

Now open up your image editing application. Mine is Photoshop Elements 4.0. I'm going to create a document and then select the type tool.

I've just typed out some text. The first thing we're going to do is simplify the text layer. Right click on it and select, "Simplify Layer." You can also simplify it under the layers window.

Now select the eraser tool, and set it to brush. Under the brush menu choose a grunge brush, and simply use it to distress the text.

And we're done!
