Figmint Projects

One can get quite complacent sometimes. They can stop learning, and thats just stupid. Do you know why? They are deceived, and they think they are having fun, but they are not, and this is because they forget the joy of learning. That is what happened to me, and we all know I am not the best, for no one is, so it is necessary to keep up with my self education. This is what the projects are for.

Challenge:
Learn how to make CSS drop down menus by looking at the coding of neopets and seeing how they built theirs. Now, now, kiddies. This is not stealing you see here. Its CSS theory. Turns out drop down menus can be made with two kinds of lists, one horizontal and one vertical kind for the part that actually drops down. You also need to implement some padding and display block stuffs and you can get a pretty nice result.

Challenge:
Learn PHP. *coughs* Mm, a large undertaking yes, learning an entire language. The intinerary in this quest went as follows: read php & mysql for dummies and apply the knowledge to create Photosort, a photo album type program to replace my current stock photography situation (its a lot of menial work to update). This challenge is partway finished. I intend to complete it summer 2011 (if I don't have it done after then, I grant you liberty to steal my hat).
